The biotechnology industry has changed tremendously with the introduction of new tools and technologies. Many of these advances have changed the way scientists work, allowing them to accomplish tasks within a matter of minutes that once took several months. One of these tools is the micropipette. The skills that scientists need to use this tool are usually taught in the lab, but in this ABE lower-secondary module, students explore micropipettes and learn the skills necessary to measure volume in very small amounts in their own classroom.
