In the second of our monthly roundtable series for ABE teachers, guest panelist Elissa West-Frazier (ABE Program Office) discussed the purpose of culturally responsive and sustaining pedagogy, as well as techniques specific to science teachers seeking to further develop culturally responsive mindsets and classrooms.
Elissa West-Frazier is an evaluator and instructional coach. She specializes in culturally responsive evaluation and supporting school systems with professional learning in the areas of culturally responsive teaching, instructional design, and technology integration. She brings fourteen years of urban education experience, and her current research focuses on culturally responsive teaching with technology.
