Larriale Isiah, laboratory technician, is the backbone of the ABE North Carolina site. A former science teacher, she seamlessly bridges classroom challenges with lab logistics, coordinating kit prep and inventory, maintaining equipment, and serving as the first line of support for teachers at all stages of implementation. Larriale anticipates needs, responds to last-minute requests, and does it all with a smile and enthusiasm that defines our program. She also organizes on-campus field trips for secondary students, opening our labs for hands-on biotechnology experiences that extend classroom learning. Colleagues and teachers celebrate Larriale’s patience and clear communication. Her practical tips are difference-makers when bringing biotechnology into the classroom. This year, Larriale began a PhD program in Educational Leadership at High Point University, balancing graduate study with exceptional service to ABE. Her commitment to educator and student success makes Larriale an indispensable member of the ABE team.
