This month’s program site appreciation goes out to one of our most collaborative community members—Melanie Rosenhart. Along with her ABE and DNA Labs teammates, Melanie has managed to build a strong and thriving teacher community, hosting an annual biotech event and keeping the labs alive in classrooms whenever possible during the global pandemic. Melanie has partnered with France and Italy to learn from their PDI events, and her enthusiastic nomination resulted in not one, but two Master Teacher Fellows representing the Netherlands this year! In addition to the thoughtful adaptations she has made to ensure ABE aligns with national requirements, Melanie is a welcoming and thoughtful host—treating the ABE Europe meeting participants to an impromptu birthday party and showing us the sights in downtown Delft. We hope to see you in person again soon, Melanie, and in the meantime—thank you for all you do for ABE!
