Please join us in welcoming our latest ABE program site: ABE South Africa, based at the SciBono Science Centre located in Johannesburg. ABE South Africa will serve teachers and learners in the Gauteng province, targeting schools mostly from marginalized areas. The site will be led by Site Director Akash Dusrath with collaboration from Site Liaison Silindokuhle Mbonane and Programme Manager Zibusiso Nyoni.
The hands-on activities offered in the ABE Foundations of Biotech labs and the cutting-edge instruments used in the program are sure to spark interest and inspire Gauteng province learners and educators in the biosciences. The Sci-Bono team strongly supports the inclusion of and collaboration with people from diverse life experiences, and most importantly, people from disadvantaged backgrounds and communities, to build a strong biotech network to better solve future problems of South Africans and humans everywhere.
