Recognising a unique science education initiative that brings the cutting edge of global biotechnology science into the heart of the classroom, Impington Village College welcomed Sir Jim Paice, former Member of Parliament, and Lucy Frazer, current Member of Parliament for South East Cambridgeshire. Normally only read about in text books, students will gain hands-on experience with research-grade equipment to study techniques such as DNA restriction, ligation and transformation, which are used at the forefront of scientific research to develop medicines for diabetes and cancer and to explore the secrets of life itself.
