Sir Jim has visited Impington Village College to see a unique science education initiative in action. The programme aims to bring the cutting edge of global biotechnology science into the classroom. Students will gain hands-on experience with research-grade equipment to study techniques such as DNA restriction, ligation and transformation, which are used at the forefront of scientific research to develop medicines for diabetes and cancer and to explore the secrets of life itself.
