High school teachers learn to make insulin thanks to Front Range Community College

Image

The Front Range Community College campus in Westminster is giving high school biology teachers across Adams County the tools and training they need to teach students how to make insulin in the classroom.  The college created a partnership with the Amgen Foundation, a biotechnology research and development center based in California. The foundation grants the materials and machinery needed to perform a successful purification of insulin to the college so that it can be loaned out to high schools.
