A team of Centaurus High School students was selected as one of three winners to send a student project to the International Space Station.  The project will launch on a SpaceX rocket in spring 2015.  Data will be collected and sent back to Earth, said Boulder Valley School District spokesman Jade Cody. Jack Carvalho, Abby Schmid and Bryan McCarty, all enrolled in a robotics class at Centaurus, worked through spring break to create a 10-page proposal.

Note: The team participates in ABE, and support from ABE-Colorado (Front Range Community College) led them to this grant opportunity. They are also being supported by the ABE staff from FRCC in their research.
